  2. Here are the two Bible programs I talked to you about. Electric New Word
  3. is the one disk New Testament program and Bible 1, 2, and 3 comprise
  4. Electric Word, the complete King James Old and New Testaments.
  5. Electric Word is bootable, Electric New Word is not. If you don't have
  6. a license agreement for 1.3 with Commodore, you can delete the
  7. icon.library from the Bible 1: disk. The dos files in the C directory are
  8. all arp commands.
  9. Here is a quick summary of the two programs and some features of each:

  11. ELectric New Word is free to copy, but not to sell for over $6.00
  12. without the author's permission.
  13.  
  14. Electric New Word is the entire King James version of the New Testament
  15. on one disk. Unlike  PD Bible programs, ENW has a graphic interface
  16. that allows the user to click on the section of scripture he wants and
  17. have the text uncrunched to Textra, a PD text editor. Great for Bible
  18. study, research, and note taking. Scripture and/or notes can then be
  19. printed out.

  21. The program checks for free memory while loading and automatically
  22. conserves needed memory.

  24. Installation on a hard drive is as easy as dragging the ENW drawer to
  25. the place on your hard drive that you want it. ENW reassigns itself on
  26. startup!

  28. ENW has keyboard equivalents for all important commands, pull down menus,
  29. and onscreen buttons to make the program accessible to new users.

  31. ENW works under 1.3 and 1.2. Future versions will, hopefully, support 2.0
  32. as well as contain a couple of new features.

  34. ENW returns all, if not most, of the memory back to the system after
  35. quitting.

  37. ENW multitasks on one meg machines. Great for finding a scripture file,
  38. saving a section of it to disk, and uploading the result w/user comments
  39. to a bbs message area!

  41. Electric Word, the complete Old and New Testament, contains all the
  42. above features except auto reassigning to a hard drive. Reassignment is
  43. still easy and explained in the Electric Word docs on disk.

  45. Electric Word is NOT PD. NO fee, and that includes fees for shipping,
  46. handling, or disk replacement, may be charged except by registered
  47. distributors. To become a registered distributor, send a  $50.00 check
  48. made payable to Habitat for Humanity and in the memo section note that
  49. it goes to the Amherst Satellite.

  54. change hands. Electric Word may not be uploaded nor downloaded from
  55. any electronic service. (Who would WANT to d/load 3 disks of stuff,
  56. anyway?)

  59. committed to helping low income people get decent, affordable housing.
